I am so glad you've found my website! My name is Davis Boring and I provide clarinet repair and overhaul services in San Diego and nationwide. This year with COVID, I have recently begun accepting repair, overhauls, and modification work from customers across the nation! I am an avid clarinet enthusiast and am excited to repair or improve your instrument. Because I specialize in clarinet repairs, I am not forced to divide my resources and attention among other instruments and projects like most repair shops. Because I have little overhead, I can provide extremely competitive clarinet repair prices with outstanding quality, inventory selection, and attention to detail! About me:
I am a student at San Diego State University! I was one of Mira Mesa's Drum Majors and took part in the 2016 Tournament of Roses Parade!
I have a passion for working on, repairing and improving woodwind instruments. I specialize in clarinet repair and repair instruments for Mira Mesa HS, Scripps Ranch HS, SDSU's bands, and more! I also donate repair services to the CCMS program which supplies over 1500 instruments to students in the San Diego Unified School District. I have worked extensively on my own clarinets, modifying and experimenting in an effort to fully understand what a clarinet is capable of playing like. And now provide my services to other enthusiasts in San Diego and nationwide.

Extensive tune-up
The "Extensive tune-up" service consists of cleaning the clarinet body and keys, re-oiling the key hinges, replacing old or warn pads (up to 10), and playing through the clarinet extensively to make any adjustments needed to ensure that the clarinet is working better than it did when new!

Complete Overhaul
I provide a complete clarinet overhaul service which consists of removing all clarinet keys meticulously cleaning the keys and clarinet body, re-oiling all key hinges and replacing all pads with premium bladder skin/felt pads, or any type of pad upon request (roo-pads, cork, leather, or synthetic). Wood clarinets will have the bore re-oiled, and up to 2 tone holes resurfaced in the overhaul.
